After a Coimbatore IT company abruptly shuttered, shocked employees have wondered how they will pay back the debt they took out.
The US based company - Focus Edumatics which operated in the city Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Because of without prior notice and sudden lay-off, employees are gathered in the collector office to file the petition.
On Monday, the workers assembled at the collectorate and filed a petition with Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, alleging that they were all notified via email last Saturday that they had been let off. For individuals who had worked for the company that functioned in RS Puram and Sungam for more than two years, they pleaded with the collector to obtain their pay and experience certificates.
Based on the employee statement, the company announced work from home from last Friday, and they received the company shutdown email from their COO directly their reliving letter and announcement. Most of the employee here are serving more than 5 years.
They are looking for salary for the month, work experience letter, relieving letter stating with proper reason for dismiss, EL and experience employee benefits, where all those are mandatory for the next job.
The employees are very much worried about their other repayment like EMI and other loan payment. More than 1500 employees are lay-off, Half-off them are local people and others are from different state.
